Spits Nelson is not just an artist—he’s a force. A New Jersey-based rapper and producer, he embodies the grind, resilience, and raw authenticity that hip-hop was built on. With an unwavering commitment to independence, Spits is taking control of his career, proving that artists don’t need industry gatekeepers to thrive. His journey started at Fisher College in Boston, where he balanced college basketball and music, recording his earliest work alongside his close friend and producer, Korona. But after two dominant seasons as a starting player, he made the bold decision to step away from the game and go all-in on music. Shortly after, tragedy struck—Korona passed away in a car accident, leaving Spits to carry their shared vision alone. Fueled by loss, he launched B.L.A.K Label Music and built himself from the ground up, performing 50+ shows across NYC and Boston, crafting a sound that blends soulful, hard-hitting beats with razor-sharp lyricism. Now, he’s on a mission to release 20 albums over the next two years, taking creative control of his vision and solidifying his place as one of hip-hop’s most consistent, self-made voices. His Good Coffee Club EP series, written in coffee shops, showcases his passion for storytelling, community, and hustle culture, making each project feel like a deep conversation over a fresh brew. With a home studio, a relentless work ethic, and a vision bigger than the industry itself, Spits Nelson is creating music that lasts. No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just real stories, real art, and an undeniable legacy in the making.
